School / Education Information

Celebration schools are committed to educating students to be lifelong learners, effective decision-makers and respectful citizens with an integrated curriculum that best prepares students to reach these goals. Learning activities are structured to encourage the development of critical thinking, exploration and the integration of knowledge from all subject areas.

At Celebration School, computer technology is seen as a tool that enables learning, and is as common in the classroom as pencil and paper. The Celebration Company, developer of the town of Celebration, designed the school and the community with embedded technology to enhance on-site learning and stimulate continuous learning at home through community-wide communication.

Celebration School has also addressed the need for after-care and summer programs for students by fostering relationships with such quality partners as Children’s World Day Care, the Osceola County District After-Care Program and Florida Hospital Celebration Health Fitness Centre.

Orlando Live Music Venue's

  • House of Blues
One of Orlando's most popular live music venues, HOB (as it is called by those in the know) offers top-level live entertainment and a brilliant Mississippi Delta-inspired menu that features everything from jambalaya and étouffée to fried catfish and pork chops. HOB has a variety of stages, including an outdoor garden stage, an intimate jazz lounge inside and the grand main stage, where national acts perform. If architecture and interior design are your things, then you'll definitely want to tool around the eclectic bars and dining areas. Sunday's Gospel Brunch is not to be missed! Brunch reservations required.

  • Hard Rock Live
Located at Universal's CityWalk, this live concert venue boasts tremendous appeal. Modeled after the Roman coliseum, the dramatic structure seats 2000, features six bars and adjoins the legendary Hard Rock Café. Artists from far and near grace the stage, and past performers include Willie Nelson, Pink, Indigo Girls and Barenaked Ladies.

  • The Social
The local music scene thrives at this club. The spacious club expanded its space and changed and updated its décor, which now boasts an attractive bar area, intimate seated areas, vaulted ceilings and VIP lounges. Expect to see an eclectic crowd here, including everybody from hip locals to ®ooth out-of-towners, all of whom agree that this is one of the best places in Orlando to relax, enjoy the music and maybe even dance a little.

  • Bongo's Cuban Cafe
When pop star Gloria Estefan and her husband, Emilio, opened this sizzling club in Orlando, they brought an interesting mix of South Beach hippness and Old Havana tradition to Central Florida. This Cuban nightspot, one of the coolest places in Orlando to dance the night away, features a Desi Arnaz impersonator, tropical décor and Havana-inspired murals, authentic Cuban lunch and dinner offerings and, of course, terrific live Latin dance rhythms. Reservations accepted for groups of 7 or more.

  • Jellyrolls
Located at the EPCOT Resort, this piano lounge offers a relaxing way to end a long day of sightseeing and thrill riding. The musicians here are well trained and know every song imaginable, from the "Let it Be" to "Purple Rain," but are at their best when they are vying against one another in their own rendition of "Dueling Pianos." Of course, since the place is intimate and seating can be at a premium at times, make sure you get here early if you want to grab a table. Full bar.

  • Waitiki Retro Tiki Lounge
Located on a quaint pedestrian street downtown, this exotic, Polynesian-themed lounge features a dark wood interior adorned with tiki torches and world art. Crowds flock to the bar for popular island cocktails, and while space indoors is often tight, the outdoor patio offers a more relaxed atmosphere. Most evenings, live performers keep the place jamming with reggae, lounge and surf rock.

  • BackBooth
Backbooth has been in its Downtown Orlando location for nearly six years now. Before its move, it was known as a popular beer and wine bar across the street from the University of Central Florida, which pre- viously was the beatnik coffee house, Java Jabbers. In all of its stages it has been a home for live music and art. In its time on the Downtown scene, its popularity has soared. While these days you are more likely to see people slamming shots of Jack than sipping on glasses of wine, its reputation as a music venue has grown to being named one of the best live music venues in the city, according to Orlando Weekly, and still boasts the most impressive draft selection in downtown. With a capacity of 350, a large stage, a powerful sound / lighting system, balcony, and back bar area; the club still maintains a very comfortable and inviting, almost pub-like atmosphere with an Old English decor including wood work and dark curtains throughout. As a venue, Back Booth continues to play host to many popular national and regional acts, while remaining a favorite among locals. The club is also known for its dance parties; which are among the most popular and recognized in town. Whether it be for an intimate live performance, a rousing rock show, or a night of dancing and drinks, Back Booth is established in the heart of the central Florida community as a favorite destination.

  • Club Firestone
The crowds are as mixed as any urban setting; gays, straights, drag queens, suburbanites and techno kids all dance side by side. It's perhaps the closest one can get in Orlando to an environment where all types mingle and have fun together. "Firestone" on Saturday is a return to the basics by simply bringing in the hottest DJs and electronic acts from around the globe. There's a mammoth dance floor and stage as the club's centerpiece--which can get quite crowded at peak time--as well as several video screens, lighting effects and lasers. Patrons who need a breather from the chaos of the dance floor should try the Glass Chamber, an upstairs lounge that allows viewing of the frenzy below, along with a separate DJ that usually plays more mellow tracks.
