 Innovatively routed on hilly, roller coaster-like terrain, Palmer’s 6,916 yard, par 72 Legacy Course boasts dramatic elevation changes – up to 50 feet in some places – creating a unique variety of risk/reward golf shots. That varied menu of shot-making opportunities is further ensured by six tee locations on each hole, a variety of natural preserve areas, generously wide fairways and strategically placed bunkers across all eighteen holes.

Arnold Palmer’s style even more than his scorecard, elevated him to legendary stature. He played with a sense of adventure and exuberance, and today designs golf courses with that same passion. In Go for Broke, My Philosophy of Winning Golf Palmer says, “Whenever I step out onto a course, it is with a vast expectancy. On any given day, I want it to tell me what it has in mind.” As a designer he now builds that expectancy into his courses, and his new layout at Ginn Reunion Resort is no exception. Palmer’s relationship with Ginn Resorts continues to expand with courses already open at Tesoro® in Port St. Lucie, Fla. and RiverTowne Country Club near Charleston, S.C. (both Ginn Club Communities) and a new course soon to be under construction at Ginn sur Mer on Grand Bahama Island.

Unlike the severe hills of the Legacy and Independence courses, this Parkland-style layout is smooth and flowing, with long horizon lines as well as elevated tee boxes and greens. Yet The Tradition can be as deceptive as it is beautiful. Designed to tempt golfers into hitting risky shots with potentially big payoffs, The Tradition challenges the golfer to step up to the ball with a carefully organized series of shots in his or her mind.
No name is more synonymous with greatness in the sport of golf than Jack Nicklaus, and no single person has changed the face of the sport more than he, the player, the designer, and the goodwill ambassador. With a total of 20 major titles (including two U.S. Amateur victories), Nicklaus is the only golfer ever to win each of the four professional major titles, U.S. Open, Open Championship (a.k.a. British Open), Masters and PGA Championship, at least three times each. The Golden Bear, as he’s known throughout the golf world, brought his unique perspective and design acumen to Ginn Reunion and has built a course destined to become a classic.

Highlighted by fast, firm and wide rolling fairways, a variety of strategically placed bunkers and large greens, the 7,257 yard, par 72 Independence Course is as much about strategy as it is about length. Demanding a well thought out approach from every player regardless of skill level, The Independence puts a premium on a solid short game with spacious green complexes where club selection can vary from putter to lob wedge to three-wood.

Since Watson designs only one or two courses each year, his commitment to excellence in golf course architecture is unquestioned. Watson has now designed two courses for Ginn Resorts (the other being The Conservatory at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast), and each exemplifies Watson’s fundamental requirements of an outstanding course, beauty, variety and challenge. |

There’s no question that Ginn Reunion Resort is big on golf, but did you know that Ginn Resorts hosts four professional tournaments, including the Ginn Open at Ginn Reunion, and sponsors six professional golfers with a staggering combined total of 12 men’s and women’s major titles among them Annika Sorenstam, Cristie Kerr, May Wood, Lee Janzen, Brian Gay and Lucas Glover proudly wear the Ginn logo, and can even occasionally be found tuning their game right here at Ginn Reunion.

A contemporary chophouse showcases the finest USDA prime beef, including filet mignon, New York strip and porterhouse cuts, as well as the freshest seafood available. The chic restaurant offers diners one of the state’s finest and most impressive wine cellars with more than 250 selections from around the globe. Forté features wines from around the world. The strongest presence comes from California varietals and Italian reds that complement the bold flavors of steak and seafood. The list ranges from boutique heavy hitters such as Harlan Estate, Screaming Eagle and Pride to classics like Caymus Vineyards, Ridge and Gaja.
Eleven
A tapas-style lounge located atop Reunion Grande. This rooftop café serves tapas and all bites from around the world, is an eclectic fusion of new world and Asian cuisines. Open afternoons and evenings, Eleven combines extraordinary dining with casual nightlife. Located atop the Reunion Grande, Eleven provides a panoramic view of the resort and of the firework display at nearby Walt Disney World.
